Setting up DNS

After adding your domain to a CDN profile, you will need to configure the CNAME on your domain's DNS record. CNAME points a domain name (origin host) to another domain name (accelerated nodes on our POPs). Requests for your domain name will then be redirected to CDN nodes for acceleration.

Adding CNAME

In order to set up the CNAME on your domain's DNS, you'll first need to know the CNAME assigned to your domain by Goooood™.

1. Login to Goooood™.

2. Select General Setting from the side menu and make sure you're on the right domain setup page.

3. Click on the 'copy' button on the Assigned CNAME.

4. You can now go to your hosting website and configure the DNS.

5. Please fill up as following:

    a) Record Type = CNAME

    b) Hostname = your domain name prefix which is usually www

    c) DNS Request Source = Default

    d) Record Value = CNAME generated by Goooood.com *paste here*

    e) TTL Period = 10 minutes

The length of time before the CNAME record takes effect depends on the DNS provider.
